Best Corporate Job Sites of 2005
CareerXRoads just posted its 2005 survey of the best and worst of corporate job sites. They list both the top 25 and the job sites in the bottom of the heap.
Companies they rate among the top 25 include:
Ford, GE, Merck, Microsoft, Xerox, and Yum. Companies having the sites "most in need of improvement include Alcoa, Ashland, KMart, Starwood, to name a few.
The report has a list of best practices, including target your audience, engage applicants, inform applicants, and respect applicants (e.g., promise to protect information; offer status; disclose steps in process).
The report also offers some interesting trends, such as practice employment tests, and guidance for resume preparation.
The report located only two recruiting blogs linked through corporate staffing pages. Lots of hype, but little activity?
